Pudu Robotics · Industry-Grade Autonomous Quadruped Robot

D5 — Where Wheels Give Up

The PUDU D5 Series is an industry-grade autonomous quadruped built for all-weather industrial work. It clears 25–30 cm steps, climbs 30° slopes, descends 45° ramps, and runs from −20 °C to 55 °C at IP67 — carrying inspection kits or delivery crates as required.

Why PUDU D5 Series

IP67 four-legged mobility across steps, slopes, and weather.

275 TOPS Computing Platform

An NVIDIA Jetson Orin AGX 64GB and RK3588 dual-processor architecture delivers up to 275 TOPS. A vapour-chamber system with dual-fan cooling keeps the platform stable under heavy, continuous workloads.

360° Precision Perception

Dual spherical LiDARs combined with four fisheye cameras create a full-coverage perception system, enabling centimetre-level positioning and accurate dynamic obstacle avoidance.

All-Terrain Mobility

Handles 25–30 cm steps, climbs of up to 80 cm, 30° ascents, and 45° descents, cruising at up to 5 m/s for fast, stable movement across both built and off-road environments.

All-Weather Durability

Cold-start below −10 °C, an operating range of −20 °C to 55 °C, and IP67 ingress protection deliver dependable performance in rain, snow, dust, and swinging temperatures.

Voice & Gesture Interaction

Voice and gesture control covers 10+ natural gestures using deep-vision sensing and a 6-microphone array. AI noise reduction and sound localisation keep responses accurate even in noisy industrial settings.

Intelligent Follow

Dynamic obstacle avoidance and trajectory prediction let the D5 follow an operator precisely through crowded spaces, adjusting its path in real time for smooth, safe movement.

Remote Vision & Control

The RCOS remote control system monitors real-time operating status and issues commands instantly, with live panoramic camera feeds giving full visibility of the on-site environment.

Modular Expansion

An open architecture supports add-ons including metal delivery crates, inspection gimbals, and a charging station — suiting security, inspection, logistics, and research deployments.

Two Variants

The D5 and the wheeled D5-W share computing, perception, and protection. The D5 clears a 30 cm step with 25° ascent; the D5-W trades a little step height for 30° ascent and up to 3 hours of operation.

FAQs

Common questions about the PUDU D5 Series from Australian operators.

What terrain can the D5 handle?

Steps up to 25–30 cm depending on variant, climbs up to 80 cm, ascents of 25–30°, and 45° descents, at speeds up to 5 m/s across urban and off-road environments.

Can it work outdoors in bad weather?

Yes. It carries IP67 ingress protection, operates from −20 °C to 55 °C, and cold-starts below −10 °C, so rain, snow, and dust are within its design envelope.

What is the difference between the D5 and D5-W?

The D5-W is the wheeled variant. It manages a 25 cm step versus the D5's 30 cm, but climbs 30° ascents versus 25° and runs up to 3 hours versus 2.5.

What can it carry?

A continuous walking payload of 20–30 kg, with modular attachments including a metal delivery crate and an inspection kit. Accessories are optional and sold separately.
