D9 — Pudu's First Full-Size Humanoid

The PUDU D9 is Pudu Robotics' first full-size bipedal humanoid robot. Standing 170 cm with 42 independent degrees of freedom, 352 N·m of peak joint torque, and PUDU DH11 dexterous hands with 1,018 tactile sensor pixels, it walks at up to 2 m/s and carries 20 kg.

Why PUDU D9

Pudu's first full-size biped — 170cm, 42 DOF, 11-DOF dexterous hands.

Full-Scale Humanoid Design

Designed to match adult body proportions at 170 cm and 65 kg, with 42 independent degrees of freedom — six per leg and seven per arm — for high-precision perception and advanced mobility.

PUDU DH11 Dexterous Hands

Eleven degrees of freedom per hand (six active, five passive) in a 500 g package, capable of a wide range of intricate tasks including pick-and-place and tool manipulation.

Dense Tactile Sensing

Twelve tactile sensing regions per hand across 1,018 tactile sensor pixels give the D9 genuine touch feedback, which is what makes delicate grasping and tool use possible.

352 N·m Peak Joint Torque

High peak joint torque supports a maximum payload of 20 kg — 10 kg per arm in testing — and a maximum walking speed of 2 m/s.

Fast, Strong Hands

Maximum palm-finger grip of 30 N and a maximum lifting load of 40 kg per hand, with finger bend speed of 150°/s and thumb bend speed of 191°/s for responsive manipulation.

275 TOPS Onboard Compute

275 TOPS of onboard computing power drives perception and control, fed by RGB and RGBD cameras, tactile sensors, and an IMU.

Continuously Evolving Platform

The D9 is developed as a commercially viable embodied intelligence platform, with capabilities added through ongoing iteration rather than fixed at shipment.

FAQs

Common questions about the PUDU D9 from Australian operators.

How big is the D9?

170 cm tall and 65 kg, designed to match adult human body proportions, with a 580 mm arm and 220 mm hand.

What can its hands do?

The PUDU DH11 hands have 11 degrees of freedom each with 12 tactile sensing regions and 1,018 tactile pixels, a 30 N maximum palm-finger grip, and a 40 kg maximum lifting load, supporting pick-and-place and tool manipulation.

How much can it carry?

A maximum payload of 20 kg, or 10 kg per arm, measured in a test environment. Maximum joint torque is 352 N·m.

Is every demonstrated feature available to buy?

No. Pudu notes that some features shown in promotional material are not yet available to customers, and that the product iterates continuously — so the shipped version may differ. Confirm specifics with Servbotics before ordering.
